"I was really impressed by this book! Demonstrating the enormous power of imagination in a very polished and entertaining way. The illustrations are very professional, the text is smart and also rhymes... really an all around excellent book. I read it on my projector in my classroom and my students begged me to read it again right away. They were surprisingly interested in the paper hat so I found a tutorial online and we all followed along and made our own paper hats. It was very spontaneous and super fun for them, we all wore them for the rest of the day. The story is about a young boy who was bored and has a blank piece of paper. So naturally he let his imagination take over and before long that piece of paper became enormously useful. He befriends some pirates and helps them retrieve some treasure that is being guarded by witches. Their adventure ends in success and it’s all thanks to his piece of paper and his wonderful imagination in an age of iPads, computers and TV I’m so happy to see books celebrating the limitless potential of our own imagination. Reminds me of when I was young before the digital age. Definitely recommend picking this one up for your children’s bookshelf!
