The Heart Behind the Story
This book was inspired by many things, but most of all by
watching my in laws play with my children on the beaches of
Florida.
I saw a side of them I had never seen before. They stepped
effortlessly into a world of imagination, adventure, and wonder
alongside our boys.
Becoming a parent changes how you see the world. But
something I never expected was how it would change the way I
saw my own parents and my in laws through the eyes of my
children. Watching those relationships unfold has been one of life’s greatest gifts.
Do You See What I See? is a story about imagination, but it is
also about connection. About the beautiful bond between
grandparents and grandchildren, and the magic that happens
when generations see the world together.
Sometimes children give us the greatest gift of all.
They remind us how to see wonder again.
